Notice of Deadline to File an Application for Place on the Ballot
The City of Caddo Mills General Election will be held on May 2, 2026. The available seats are Place 1, currently held by Shawn Bentley; Place 2, currently held by John Verity; and Place 5, currently held by Cody Hawkins.
Terms for the available seats are as follows:
Place 1 - 3- year term
Place 2 - 3-year term
Place 5 - 2-year term
The filing period will end on Friday, February 13, 2026. Applications will be available in the City Secretary's Office beginning January 15, 2026.

The City of Caddo Mills General Election will be held on May 3, 2025. The available seats are Mayor, currently held by Chris Davies; City Council Place 3, currently held by Justin Poppelreiter; and City Council Place 4, currently held by Lori Howell. The City went from a Type A General Law City to a Home Rule City in November so the term limits for Council members changed to three-year terms. This process will be complete by May 2027.
Terms for the available seats are as follows:
Mayor - 2-year term
Place 3 - 3-year term
Place 4 - 2-year term
Applications for a place on the ballot are available below and in the City Secretary's office at City Hall. The filing period will end on Friday, February 14, 2025.
